John Lage began his career in 1984 in Entertainment with Edler-Brown Productions, and later NBC/Universal and New Line Cinema. Reading nearly 100 feature scripts per month, John soon developed an eye for commercial content.
A career opportunity presented itself when then NBC President, Brandon Tartikoff offered John the position of Director of Development at New World Pictures. There, John was responsible for greenlighting such hits as Tour of Duty, Designing Women, Baghdad Café, Second Noah, The New Adventures of Spiderman, the long running syndication hit Real Stories of the Highway Patrol and the Academy Award winning Trip to Bountiful with Just Betzer. Rising to Vice President, John is credited with over $100MM in output deals in his tenure.
As a Marcom consultant, John specializes in “particular economies of scale” and “vertical integration” strategies. John is adept at financial modeling, turnaround, profit enhancement and the creation and sustainability of revenue streams. John has worked on diverse consulting engagements including a $650mm clean energy start up; a yearlong best-use report concerning the viability to restart the dormant Hovensa crude oil refinery on the island of St Crioix to the turnaround plan for the illustrious Waggoner Ranch historic property in Texas. In 1997, John started CMC or Chelsea Multimedia Corporation. The purpose of the startup was twofold; to provide credit facilities and leverage to independents seeking capital and to produce multimedia products for worldwide distribution. Today CMC holds interests in over 26 film and television properties, 3 tech companies and a dozen direct response products. Sales exceed 4 million annually.
As a published writer, John has written numerous scripts, bibles and teleplays. Stormdancer, a feature-length family adventure written by Lage and Huston took 1st place at the prestigious Monaco Film Festival in 2009; set for production in Summer 2017. As a SAG actor, Johnny Lage has appeared in numerous stage productions and Guest Starred on shows such as Quantum Leap, Matlock, Life Goes On, and Empty Nest, opposite Kristy MacNichol and Guest Star Garth Brooks in the two-part “Country Weston”. Born 1/24/1961 New York, NY, Married, Four Children. John currently resides in Dallas Texas. Being the son of an Indycar driver, William E Homeier, Jr., is not adverse to managed risk. Highly motivated, gregarious, he has launched and managed several different companies in construction, real estate, and currently working with entrepreneurs in the next generation industries of bio-fuels and natural fiber bio-composite materials.
His accomplishments include: starting a company without a penny to his name and building to over a million dollars in revenues within 14 months; creativity combined with an eye for detail, he worked with architects and engineers for major corporations to adapt and modify design specifications; pulling capital resources together; working with Mark Victor Hansen (co-creator of “Chicken Soup for the Soul”); Senior Estimator for one of the largest privately held commercial construction companies, reviewing well over two billion dollars in constructions projects (including The University of Phoenix Stadium; the USC Medical Center expansion; Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa); and has held, partnered or managed significant real estate assets.
Over the last several years, he has acted as consultant to companies investigating and performing due diligence on real estate acquisitions, construction projects (worldwide), bio-composite materials, alternative energy projects (geothermal, bio-mass, waste-to-energy).
William has had the honor and privilege of sitting on the coordinating board of the Phoenix Sports Fans Choice Awards benefitting Phoenix local charities with Jerry Colangelo (former CEO of the Phoenix Suns; Director Team USA Men’s Olympic Basketball) and Jimmy Walker (founder of Celebrity Fight Night, benefitting Mohammed Ali’s Parkinson’s Foundation).
